Heavenly routine / Rutina rojuje

I open my eyes around 8am. While I could easily just roll over and sing back into the dreamland, I decide to get up and go outside. This is my favourite part of the day. I sit down comfortably on a rock in our “kitchen” and enjoy the cool breeze from the sea (the sun is still behind the mountain), while gazing sleepily at the rolling waves. And so till about 9:30am. Then, we cook porridge for breakfast and immediately head down to the beach for a round of swimming and sunbathing. A couple of hours later, the sun becomes too hot. Inside the tent the heat is also at boiling temperatures, so we pack our books and cross two mountains and valleys to arrive back at La Caleta and our favourite coffee shop, providing ample shade from the sun with its huge umbrellas. I enjoy a baraquito, while Zygis usually goes for ice cream. Intense book reading follows. For lunch we unpack a picnic somewhere in the shades of old La Caleta buildings and read more books, waiting for the sun to finally ease-off. At about 5pm, we grab an 8 litre bottle of drinking water from the local shop and traverse back over two mountains and two valleys to our campsite. Then we still have time for some more swimming and sunbathing in the slowly cooling sun. When the heat finally lifts, at about 8pm, its time for dinner. After sunset, we enjoy a cup of tea in the moonlight. I notice here we spend much more time listening than talking. The day comes to an end, its time to go to sleep.
